Well organised event. Nice route. Friendly people!

Not 100% sure that the Extreme is the best race for beginners but chasing an event with Run, Walk, Crawl definitely is.

The views were fantastic, the volunteers were amazing and if you want a challenge then this event will not disappoint

Outstanding event and new level real trail running.
However cut of timing are very strict.

Aid stations: water in containers fine but u should have 1 for orange squash. Takes too long to put orange squash in cup then add water.
Melon would be a game changer at aid stations

Very friendly and supportive staff and volunteers from start to finish line and at all the aid stations in between.

Once again the Run Walk Crawl team have created another prestigious event an amazing addition to the classic which I would thoroughly recommend to someone starting out ultra running. But you need a bit more experience to take on the extreme it’s a test on the legs with those climbs but don’t think the second half will be easier because you are out of the national park, it’s if anything tougher so excellent route choices, outstanding scenery and a top quality event team that makes you want to sign up for other events in the series.
